I wonder how much they made him pay to provide the pill's he needed to cope with daily life?

Paul even mentioned in his CQ interview that he was powerless to stop him. Cause Em obviously has access to a vast amount of riches to acquire more drugs.

Selling prescription drugs to people without a prescription is illegal, and if they were caught they would lose their medical license/be prosecuted.
