What do you mean? Am I from India or Pakistan? Let me break it down:

I was born in Toronto.

My parents were both born in Pakistan.

However, both my maternal and paternal grandparents were from India (Agra, where the Taj Mahal is) and only moved to Pakistan after the partition. So, I'm Pakistani based on my parents' birth but all of my previous ancestors are not from the land of Pakistan. You get it?

But when people ask me, I usually just say I'm Pakistani, cuz it's easier.

Lol, I used to think I spoke Urdu well, and then I visited family in Pakistan in 6th grade. Everyone made fun of the way the way I spoke Urdu...and at this point in my life, my English vocabulary has far exceeded my Urdu vocab - so I feel akward when I have to speak in Urdu to anyone other than my Mother.

But, seriously, I don't think I speak Urdu that badly, considering that I learned it through hearing my parents speak. I probably speak better Urdu than Sajn (cuz I speak better Urdu than alot of my cousins here in Canada/America). People in Pakistan just like making fun of people

I pray in Arabic.

Yup, I pray in Arabic and read the Quran in Arabic ( I also read an English translation so that I know what I'm reading). It's pretty amazing that I've memorized these long arabic verses for prayer and stuff- but most Muslims do.
