BTW... you've got to be a complete retard if you think Eminem ever dissed Kanye or that he dissed Haystack in My Darling.

You're an idiot, those are his REAL beefs. I'm talking about ALL the people Eminem has ever thrown jabs at, it doesn't matter if it was a full blown beef or just a simple name drop or parody. So shut the fuck up. I KNOW he wasn't dissing Kanye, but to people who aren't familiar with Em might have thought that he was, why don't you try reading the post next time faggot.....A lot of people believe that Em was dissing Haystack on the first verse of My Darling when Em was talking about Southern rap. Haystak made a 30 minute video in 2009 saying that Em needs to pay homage to the south when 3 A.M. came out because that's where Horrorcore originated.
So shut your bitch ass up.

They're hardly targets though.

People always say he picks on people who can't fight back. Oh like... President Bush? The former President of the United States lmfao.

Most of those are just names he mentions on his sporadic goofball ramblings. Which wouldn't be goofball ramblings if the targets were genuine lyricists or people who aren't truly worthy of mockery.

Then it would just be picking problems with people. When anybody has come at him he's come back. But people confuse real beef with nonsense he says on a record. Half the time just because the person's name rhymes with some phrase he's thought of and they happen to be in the paper that week lmao.

@Amadeo - I agree again, which is a rarity.

And the fact he just plain took on the fucking government on TES shows he's anything but a coward hiding behind cheap names lmao.

Because he pushed freedom of speech to the limit with MMLP and then came back stronger against the government who failed to block his freedom on TES.

I know that, but you have to realize these are ALL the jabs, parodies and somewhat "offensive" name drops Eminem has ever dropped on albums, music videos, and freestyles

Target:

noun
1 a person, object, or place selected as the aim of an attack.

A quote from Eminem regarding the random celebrities he name-checks: "These are not personal attacks on their character."

So Eminem himself disagrees with you that these people (Taylor Swift, Rihanna) are targets. He did a song with Rihanna you imbecile.

Use words more carefully next time.

RainMan313 wrote:I KNOW he wasn't dissing Kanye, but to people who aren't familiar with Em might have thought that he was, why don't you try reading the post next time faggot.....

They might have thought that he was if they're stupid.

People who aren't familiar with Eminem might have thought he was dissing Hailie in "Kim" (if they're fucking retarded). So why don't you add her to the list?

RainMan313 wrote:A lot of people believe that Em was dissing Haystack on the first verse of My Darling when Em was talking about Southern rap.

A lot of people are idiots.

Where was he talking about Southern rap, you stupid asshole? He mentioned a Southern rapper (Paul Wall). He didn't diss him... he praised him. How the fuck could that be taken as a diss to HAYSTACK?

You think on the same verse where he proclaims "You're dying to hear my take on other rappers ... well, Paul Wall's dope ... I don't compete with nobody" he's also dissing somebody? Only someone REALLLLLLLLY stupid would think that.

TARGET=Someone he threw jabs at whether it be straight-forward by dropping that person's name or subliminally dissing them whether he was being serious or not whether it was in a song or video.

Haystak:
"If you're going to do horrorcore, you have to pay homage to the South, we're the ones that started it."
Then the 2 bonus tracks on Relapse come out.

My Darling:
"If I were to rap about the South, that's probably the route that you'd want me to take because you're just dying to know what I think".

Even if that's a very small subliminal diss to Stak. IT'S STILL SOUNDS LIKE A DISS.

Medicine Ball:
"I'll pee on Rihanna, man I do what I wanna".

So you're saying the average listener who isn't familiar with Eminem's "non-personal attacks" on celebrities wouldn't think he was dissing her?
You're an idiot.

How in the fucking world is Eminem even REMOTELY dissing Haillie in "Kim"?
The only thing he said about her was
"Don't make me wake this baby"
and
"We can't just leave Haillie alone, what if she wakes up?"
Think before you post dumb ass. :coffee:

Yeah. He didn't "jab" Rihanna. He didn't jab Taylor Swift. He didn't jab Ellen Degeneris. He randomly came up with their names and rhymed them and threw them in a song.

A jab does a degree of damage to someone. It has negative connotations.

Haystak is a fat brainless pedophile.

Your idiocy is frightening. He says "If I were to rap about the CRAP THAT'S OUT..." He doesn't say the word "South" anywhere.

RainMan313 wrote:Medicine Ball:
"I'll pee on Rihanna, man I do what I wanna".

Yeah, and he later mentions Madonna and Christopher Reeve in the same song. These are all attacks, aren't they? Not just Eminem having fun on a track with rhyming and name-dropping some celebrities.

Your excuse that they COULD be interpreted as a diss is retarded. The sky COULD be interpreted as green, couldn't it? But that interpretation is wrong.

Classic example of the straw man defense. Take something I didn't say (that Eminem was dissing Hailie in Kim) and rebut it.

I was making fun of you but you didn't get that.

I've seen a lot of lyric sites with My Darling lyrics as rap about the SOUTH.
How is misinterpreting the way he said something a form of "idiocy"?
How many fucking times do I have to repeat myself? IT DOESN'T MATTER IF HE WAS BEING SERIOUS OR NOT.
I'll pee on Rihanna? If you were to just go up to some random someone you don't even know and make a funny rhyme that involves urinating on the person, you don't think that person would find it offensive?
So the average listener who isn't a hardcore fan is obviously going to think he was being serious.
The sky could be interpreted as green? Your stupid little failed analogy has no relevance to this thread.

I ran a Google search for the following (exact quotes were part of the search... it searches for the exact phrase):

My Darling lyrics "If I were to rap about the South"

Results: 0. Well shit, it appears as if you are LYING about there being lyric sites (at least lyric sites that Google robots can reach, which covers most of them) that publish the lyric "If I were to rap about the South"... probably because no reputable lyric site has that lyric... probably because the lyric site contributors aren't as deaf as you... probably because it's not the actual lyric, dipshit.

You've resorted to lying to defend your impaired hearing and awful comprehension?

My Darling lyrics "If I were to rap about the crap that's out"

Results: 1,260. Nice one, ape.

RainMan313 wrote:How many fucking times do I have to repeat myself? IT DOESN'T MATTER IF HE WAS BEING SERIOUS OR NOT.

This could be the worst argument ever made on this message board, ever. If Eminem's lyrics offended someone, it doesn't mean Eminem was TARGETING them or attacking them personally you dunce.

On the same song he says: "I never meant this rhyme to be so offensive. If you weren't so defensive it wouldn't be... you're so sensitive." On the same song: "Like it's my fault his name rhymes with so many different words, jeez." On the same song he says: "I guess it's time for you to hate me again."

Given these disclaimers he puts in the song just so the idiots can understand what he's doing, you STILL think these are lines engineered to hurt the recipients.

I'm still trying to get my head around... how given the context of this song Medicine Ball... and given that they've done a song together and Rihanna and Eminem respect/admire each other... how you could still think this was an attack.

Honestly, you're a complete idiot and shouldn't be listening to Eminem.

I think this gets totally overlooked and he barely gets any credit for the balls it took to do that. He released TES in 2002 when the climate was hardly friendly towards anybody saying anything even remotely critical about the US government at the time. Yet he came out into the mainstream doing White America etc. Epic.

And not getting too much into the, uh, discussion here...but IMO you can't really say that Eminem is targeting all the people who then feel offended. All sorts of people feel constantly offended by his songs because they don't get what he's doing. He wasn't insulting Christopher Reeve just as he isn't insulting Michael J. Fox. He makes these jokes because it probably amuses him how everybody gets bent out of shape about it. Anyway, I'm going now...
