We Missed Out On A Em Classic ?

Postby KieranLewisEM » Sep 5th, '10, 18:12

I think em scraping relapse 2 was such a mistake as much as i love recovery and glad that came out, but it seemed to me em was progressing on r2 from the shit we heard on refil. He was in his peak mastering flows and sharp as ever on it.Just wish we could could have heard the rest somehow cause i think r2 would have easily toped relapse and that was a very good album ,Arrrrrrrrr :(

It was alright
& Relapse was his come back album
he made it clear he was all ready to roll onto Relapse 2

but remember how the label wanted a more "emotionally driven" album...
I think that's due to the popularity of Beautiful when it came out

but Relapse 2 would of been better than a Recovery in my view

You are right about his flow. Nobody flows better than some verses on Refill. but the lyrical content just wasn't enough to make up for it.
i'm comin in, drivin my short bus
with this nose i don't need a torch up
bustin through, light the industry's porsche up
comin after who didn't support us...

every wicked bit of strange to mainstream

@All Above...

Serial killing doesn't get old fast. But his fucking personal issues do.

He spent MMLP, TES and Encore digressing on them in various ways. The more he focused on personal shit, the more it dampened his creativity.

Stuff like "Buffalo Bill" was a real progression in rhyming in a fictional realm again. People fail to see what could of come out of it had he stuck to it. Forget the serial killing, he simply would of progressed into new creative realms had he stuck with forcing himself to ignore personal issues.

Plus I could listen to shit like "Stay Wide Awake" all day. And would much rather hear him endlessly find ways of chopping people to bits working wonders with the English language over monotonous growling and self-pitty.
