Overuse of emotions and lack of substance = not surprising.

Name one track on Thank me later that was a good combination of Hip Hop mixed with R&B? Drake failed to deliver, and the only track he had success with was Find Your Love which wasn't a combination, it was pure R&B.

Any Girl is a good mixture between the two genres, because Banks doesn't sing or any crap like that, he takes care of his side and lets Lloyd do the singing with the bridge and hook. Banks' catalogue has had countless dope tracks like that, and unlike Drake he hasn't tried any poppy hooks or choruses himself. Examples being Smile, Karma etc.
