He seems to be trying to showcase his talents now w/ that dbl time flow. At times it's impressive, but you listen to Infinite, SSLP, MMLP, TES and he didn't need to rap like Twista to showcase his skills. Slowing it down like he did on Changes and Seduction is classic sh1t. Thats the kind of flow he needs. Not all of this screaming and fast crap. It's good at times, but I feel like he ODs on things like Singing, Yelling, accents. Dude is a true addict. If he likes something, he'll do it over and over till the point it gets a lil annoying.

I'd also like to see him become more conscious of the world outside of his inner circle. There is a lot to rap about other than his own problems. He can rap about the problems of other people. I think he feels like a hypocrite performing a song like If I had. After all he said "They said I can't talk about being broke no more." Who said that? Jay and other rappers can talk about selling drugs when they haven't seen drugs in decades. I don't even think Jay smokes weed. A song like If I had describes the circumstances in parts of America perfectly. If he released that as a single right now I guarantee it would be #1. The point is u look at a section of the population (hard workers who feel like they're being screwed and overlooked) who needs a voice, and SSLP era Em now would be that voice.

I blame it on everyone (especially casual rap fans) going crazy over his verse on Forever. whereas I'm sure most people on here will agree he had much more impressive verses in Relapse.

I dunno Em seems like he really wants to be respected in the mainstream now, collabing with bigger names, more poppy songs etc. I can't hate on dude tho cuz it's clear he's not in it for the money. I think recovery was 7.5/10 but I think it was an album he needed to make for himself.

I just hope he doesnt go the same route (shouting, shitty wordplay, unnecessary fast flow) with his next LP.

You know, I think the reason he has done so much double time flowing as of late is he wants to get as far away from the pill era "flow" as possible...where, in his own words, it was "like he was just talking."
