A lot of people on this board could just not ever accept that anything Em has done in the last 5 years could be among his best work. Its the 'nostalgia' thing, which i can understand to a point. If I wasnt open minded i'd probably feel the same.

Deja Vu is the only song since TES that could be considered his best work. It's not a slant on his newere stuff - I enjoy both Relapse and Recovery - but it's just an ode to how ridiculously good 1999-2002 Eminem was.

It's got fuck all to do with "not being open minded". The reason I like Till I Collapse better than Almost Famous (and I'm an AF fan) is because, get this... it's better! I know! It's nothing to do with the fact it was made in 2002. If he made it now, I'd still say it's way better than AF.

On the voice thing, I've never heard anyone say they like TIC better than AF becuase of his voice - it's due to beat, flow, hook, rhyming, content etc.

When people say his early work (bar Encore) is better than his newer stuff - it's nothing to do with the fact that it's earlier, it's because it quite simply is better quality in terms of rhyming, flow etc (obviously musical quality is subjective).

I don't want Eminem's style to be exactly the same as his first 3 albums, that would be boring. Would I like his rhyming to be as good as it was then? Of course I would, I'd love it. Once you hear the best rhyming ever by any rapper, you want more of it.

As it is I'm happy with the quality of his last 2 albums, he's so far into his career, just come back from drug addiction, yet is still capable of making 2 more-than-solid albums. Shows what a great artists he is. I just needed to make that point.
