People hate on Lil Wayne/Jay-Z/Kanye/50 but...

i really never understood why 50 got so much love early in his career. But i went back and listened to his albums and i liked most of GRODT and some other tracks from other albums. Yeah on the technical aspect he is not a great rapper but i still can enjoy his music. Kanye like killa said he has banging beats i also liked some of his albums. Wayne is just not my style i gave him a chance but i just couldnt like his music. Jay z had some good songs but like Killa i never had the urgency to listen to a full jay album. So i only consider wayne to suck but not because he rivals em but because i never liked his music. Will also add that i didnt like eminem until around the re up era bar a few songs because i hated ems nasal voice lol..

Well i'm not going to make this exclusive to only Em fans but to Hip-Hop / Music fans in general. For some odd reason when an artist starts to blow up, they receive more hate. Fans of the artist who claim to have liked the artist before they blew up are the major hate-monglers. So many "Former Fans" are complete drama-queens and direct haters. As a defense many of them will say "The music isn't the same" or "He/She fell off" or "He/She sold out. He/She is too commercial". They'll start complaining about lyrics, than content, than commercialism, etc. etc.

As for "some" Em fans, I believe that artists who begin to rival Em's popularity begin to be their "hate targets". Like some can't stand that other artists can potentially out-match/or begin to be on the same level of popularity as Em. I honestly believe thats the truth. Some people can't even compliment the artist on their success. All they can do is hate. Sad part. I'm not a Bieber fan by any means (don't feel his music), but I compliment him on all the success, popularity, money and girlies he gets. No hate on my part. Other's can't do that.

I have College Dropout and Late Registration. Both are fantastic albums. His last two albums and his new material.

I have every 50 cent album but "Curtis" and "Before I Self Destruct" are 90% garbage. His first two albums were fantastic. But Just Like Kanye, His last two have been crap.

I have never been a Wayne fan.

Honestly, I can see why people hate on the artist mentioned by the OP, specially Wayne and Kanye. I like some of Kanye songs though, and really dig the old 50 Cent stuff. Wayne an Jay-Z are pretty meh to me.

I think the reason most Eminem fans on this website hate on these artists is because, partly for what you mentioned, but also because hardcore Em fans have heard all of Em's music and are so used to having a rapper in the mainstream with such vast lyrical capabilities and unique flows that they feel any other artists in the spotlight don't really compare to him. I personally don't hate any of the artist you mentioned, I'm a pretty big Jay-Z fan and I liked 50's and Kanye's earlier albums and I even think that their new stuff isn't too bad. I'm not really into Wayne that much, I used to hate him for the reasons mentioned, that everyone was talking about him and he had so much hype and being called the best rapper alive which is ridiculous but he's beginning to grow on me.
I think most people need to be abit less closed-minded with artists. To me Em is the best, I grew up on him and I don't think many other rappers can step to him on a track, there are some, just not many in the public eye anyway, but that's just my opinion.
