Pual Castellano was a hitman and boss for the mobb in the 80's, in one report he shot someone in the chest and the person later crawl out the building and fell to his death. "i rock like a fossil" is used to compare him to paul castellano because a fossil is old (Paul) and using that as a figure of speech. the next few words leading up to that "big ball shit" is a wordplay describing Paul because he was a big dude at the time (6'3 280 pounds) Although that was a simple line to wayne, it goes over the head of 99% of the listeners mainly people who doesn't understand wayne & his lyrics.

Edit* i might be wrong about the "shoot ya ass up, now crawl out the condo" line because that was probably how Paul got killed because the hitman lured him and his friend into a apartment-condo and shot them. Wayne was probably using that line to make a point in saying don't fuck with me or your end up like pual castellano either way it was genius.

You're so full of shit it's not funny. In fact, let me make it easier to understand for you by putting it in the form of an awful Lil Wayne-like punchline: I call you sewerage, since you're full of shit.

First off, Paul Castellano and his underboss were shot as they were getting out of a limo outside a restaurant. He wasn't shot in an apartment/condo, dipshit. Lmao. "That was probably how Paul got killed..." As soon as you said "probably," my bullshit detector went off. That means you're lying.

Secondly, chances are you're bullshitting about Castellano shooting someone in the chest and they crawled out of a building and fell to their death. You could be right, but here's why I think you're full of shit:

1. You said "in one report." This is very non-specific, dubious and a good indication you're a liar.
2. I couldn't find ANYTHING on Google about this incident. Could it be that the "one report" was your misinformed report?
3. Paul Castellano was a businessman. He didn't carry out the hits. He wasn't a "hitman" in the '80s, idiot. He ordered the hits. He never personally shot anybody in the 1980s. He got other people to do the dirty work.

Now that we've established that "crawl out the condo" has NOTHING to do with Paul Castellano, we get to the real reason Lil Wayne chose to say that:

Because "crawl out the condo" rhymes with "Paul Castellano."

And "condo" rhyming with "ano" is a bit of a reach anyway. So there... "crawl out the condo" was completely meaningless, only there to rhyme.

Now let's dissect the next piece of bullshit you gave us. First off: your interpretation of "I rock like a fossil is way off." Class had it right, meathead: fossils are found in rocks.

Lil Wayne is using a pathetically obvious simile to say that he rocks. It's like saying, "I rule like a king."

Why would Paul Castellano be referred to as a fossil? He was 70 years old. When you say someone is a fossil metaphorically, you usually mean they're out-of-touch... they believe in antiquated ideas... their morals/views are now obsolete. This guy was a Mafia boss. How the fuck could he be seen as a fossil?

The truth is "fossil" had nothing to do with Paul Castellano. He mentioned Castellano because he said he has big balls, and Castellano was known as "Big Paul," and because he'll "shoot ya ass up," which is what Castellano did (well... he ordered shootings later in his career).

All Wayne says in the line is: "I rock. I have big balls. I'll shoot you." There's nothing special whatsoever about it. It features a godawful simile, a nonsequitur condo reference to force a rhyme, and some lame boasts.

I urge other posters not to believe anything this guy says, as, like most Wayne fans, he's a lying idiot.

Nah. I believe i know wayne punchlines better then most people on this site because i listen to his music alot and i know what he means most of the time. He gave his opinion (which was 85% wrong) breaking down the structure and meaning of wayne's line when he doesn't fully understand the development and thought process wayne has in his punchlines. Ask any long time wayne fan to break down that line and it will be identical to what i have said because they have grown use and learned wayne meaning of words. You cannot teach someone who knows more about a specific thing then you do.
