Proof was good, but he wasn't 'one of the best ever' as people seem to be putting it. Also, he was no where near a legend. I'm not trying to diss the dude, especially after his untimely end, but it's just the truth.

Calling him a legend is just wrong.
Calling him one of the best ever is iffy as fuck.

How so? He didn't exactly have an extensive catalog of solo work, and what he had was good.. but one of the greatest? I guess it depends on what you're definition of "one of the greatest" is. To me you gotta be in the top... idk 25 to ever do it to take that title? He's just not there.
