Rick Ross might have the utmost respect for MC Hammer—giving him props in a track with Gucci Mane called "MC Hammer"—but Jay-Z is a different story and Hammer isn’t happy about it. Elsewhere, Nick Cannon won't battle his wife Mariah Carey's ex with rhymes, but he is offering up some boxing gloves... for charity, of course.

As for Hammer vs. Jay-Z, on the latest G.O.O.D. Friday track "So Appalled," Hov pokes fun at Hammer losing his fortune with lines like “Hammer went broke so you know I'm more focused/I lost 30 mil' so I spent another 30/ 'Cause unlike Hammer 30 million can't hurt me."

The “U Can’t Touch This” rapper is now referring to the rap heavyweight as “HellBoy” and “Jay-hoe” and took to Twitter to challenge Jay-Z. He wrote, “The Answer to Jay comes on Oct 31 (Devils Night)… I saw him coming.”

But now, the Oakland native seems to be challenging the Roc Nation label-head to a boxing match. He put up a 36-second video of himself practicing on a punching bag.

In the clip, Hammer doesn’t directly address the situation. A rap song plays in the background and he’s seen rocking a white t-shirt, baggy cargos and focused on practicing his boxing skills.

No word on whether Beyoncé’s better half is interested in battling Hammer any further on wax or in the ring.

This isn’t the first time in recent history two rappers have suggested taking their rap beef to the streets.

Mariah Carey’s hubby Nick Cannon, who has long been vocal about his disdain for Carey’s ex, Eminem is hoping to get Slim Shady in the ring.

Though, Em has yet to take the "America’s Got Talent" host up on his offer, Cannon did start a Facebook page where he’s encouraging fans to vote that they’d like to see the two entertainers put on some gloves and go head-to-head. So far, 773 people have clicked their support.

But, the Relapse MC, who just had acted out a fight scene on HBO’s "Entourage" season finale, has yet to comment on whether he’d really take Cannon up on his offer.

Awhile back, Slim Shady told Vibe magazine a "I don't want to keep beating a dead horse. I'm done with that whole situation."

So maybe that's a no?

I want 50, Dre, and/or Royce to scare the shit out of Nick Cannon by threatening him. Cause sadly Eminem has moved past this.

I have my money on Royce though :b:

Yeah, I don't mind the Mariah songs. But he knows who he's dealing with and that it would most likely end with braindead publicity stunts. Which it did. So my sympathy here is limited. Same goes for Jay-Z.
