to Shady Records?
Anybody have any theories or opinions about it. I know Royce and Dre never got along but Em still could of signed him. Then he went and signed 50.

Rakabash wrote:I think the main reason Eminem didn't sign Royce was because, Eminem helped Royce score two recording contracts with Tommy Boy Records and Columbia Records worth a million dollars each. Em helped Royce negotiate those deals and I think for Em after the Sony deal, Em believed it was time for Royce to get behind the driver seat and steer his career for himself. After Tommy Boy Records went bankrupt in 2000, Royce went to Columbia but the leak of "Rock City" threw Royce's career for a tailspin, and I believe Royce didn't do enough to assume more control of his music at Sony.50 Cent was riding a crest of popularity in the underground that with the right amount of corporate muscle could sell alot of records and that's why Em signed 50 instead of Royce. Like Bizarre said, Em had so much respect for Royce but like a good business man Em went with the hot hand.
If D12 signed to Shady Records with Em being in the group, I doubt they would have went multi-platinum. Royce probably would have went platinum with or without Em being on half the album.
