But you know the saying, A running back only has so many carries in him regardless of what age they are? Well who knows if it's a same for Rap. Do you only have so many album worthy songs in your arsenal. But thats the thing. Wayne has plenty of time left in the game, but i don't think that necessarily means the best is yet to come. Since i think Waynes earlier material is loads better than his last few albums.
Wayne fans can cling to the "Rebirth was an experiment album, it doesnt count as a rap album so take the first week sales with a grain of salt". They can cling to the "I'm Not A Human was digital only and originally only supposed to be an EP" as another excuse. Sort of what Kanye West fans do with 808s. "It was just an experiment album. Take first week sales with a grain of sale".
I think those excuses are laugh worthy.
An album is an album. I don't care if they claim "It's an experimental rock album (Rebirth)" or "it's a R&B album (808's)".
