Relapse or Recovery (better lyrics)

Postby Wreck » Oct 11th, '10, 22:03

which album of the two do you think had the better lyricism (punchlines, clever or not, multies & puns)....

cause I believe most people would say Recovery was the way better album of the 2, even though I know people that do like Relapse, but which one do you think has the better lyricism throughout?

Your topic name says relapse or refill.

That said, I love both albums pretty equally but I say Recovery.

Again, I said Recovery is the better album. The topic is about lyrics.

Em sticks to relevant topics for the most part on Recovery while Relapse is for the most part just an exercise with rhyming words, which is not hard to do when you don't have to worry about creating any emotion...therefore Recovery has better lyricism

Most of us acknowledge that Recovery was the far superior album. Relapse's lyrics however were probably the best of the two. Relapse's multi's and impeccable rhyme schemes save it from being a gutter album (to me) and it's what gives it a slight edge over Recovery lyrically but never musically, sonically, content-wise, or variatively.

I think in terms of rhyming..Relapse. The whole album was just non stop, constant rhymes and multies.
