relapse is a thematic album, would be easier to compare recovery with the eminem show.

I like relapse because it fits the title. I felt like it was him having a relapse into what he once was. In his older music in his Slim Shady era he rapped a lot like he does in relapse and i loved him for that. Recovery seems to be a dismissal from all of that. i respect recovery for what it is... a recovery from his relapse.. but i think Slim Shady > Marshal Mathers any day. In My Darling Dre says "you got a lot softer" prelude to recovery? agreed dre
