One Mic wrote:Anyone interested in backstorys, explanations, and an insight into why and how Em wrote the lyrics for pretty much most of the first two albums, a couple freestyles and others should just buy it lol. Its only one of two "official" books from Eminem and definitely worth a read.

What does he say?
Me, Swift, Bizarre, Fuzz and Proof were the illest emcees in Detroit. One time we found ourselves with access to a studio. So we decided to cut a song together. I was trying to get hold of Proof and I couldnt find him. I called Bizzare and he said "Yo, get Swift on it", so we did. And then we wanted to get Fuzz on the track, cause Fuzz was just ridiculous. Proof wasnt available for the song and besides, he didnt get along with Fuzz. DJ Head had the track and we laid it doen. Everybody came to the studio and wrote their shit. FUzz wrote his on the spot. Me, Bizarre and Swift already had ours done. Bizarre thought of the hook when he heard the beat. There was an energy I'll never forget. Swift went into the booth ans spit his verse. Everybody was like "illllll illlll". Then Bizarre and again "illl illlll illll". I spit my lines and everybody repetaed "illlll illlll illl illll". Then Fuzz went in and sput his in one take and he was just a blur of non-stop words. We were like "Ohhh fuck". It all went in perfect order. Each verse was iller than the next. It was such a buildup song. Thats the vibe we plan on capturing on D12's debut album
The Hip Hop Shop was a spot in detroit where all the city's illest emcees would meet and it was a regular hang-out. Back in the hip hop shop days, there were verses I would throw out in the shop. I would just use them in there. Once I got a rep, I actaully used one of those verses for an open mic and people were trippin on it, so I thought "fuck it", i gotta finish it". I finished the verses and made them into a song. Kon Artis did all my beats then and had the original track. I personally think it was the best song on the albm. This was 95/96 0 the era for just rhyming for the sake of it. People at one point said I sounded like Nas, cause I used all these big words. This is show your skill ype shit.

Interesting choice of topic. Whats that for?
I'm doing an essay the Misinterpretation Of Rap Music as part of my A Levels (EPQ), which has been really good actully.
