Whats A Good Mic To Record With ??

if you are not going to be on a studio just buy an M-Audio USB producer mic. that should do the job fine enough

u need a program to record, I would recomend Pro Tools, but again, unless you have a studio, a lot of money or a great place to record; just get something like Cool Edit Pro 2.0 or Adobe Audition. I reccoment Cool Edit, as its easier and good enough for just in-house recording

just buy the microphone first. A condenser usb would be best for you. (the m-audio is a good example).

then just youtube "download free cool edit pro 2.o" and get the program

and now you can record to it and clean your acapellas

That's what I have, it was about $70 on eBay. Great quality for the price.. I wasn't wanting anything super expensive. Also does a great job of just picking up your voice. No background noise at all.

IMO, Audacity has been the easiest recording program I've used. It's not specifically made for recording/editing/mixing raps, but it gets the job done, and it VERY easy to master.

but the thing in Audacity is that there is not enough software to appropriately clean vocals and add extra effects. thats why I reccomended cool edit or adobe. the good thing of audacity is that its 100% free.

but yeah, its up to the user what theyre looking for.

I have wanted to record for ages but its just getting the money to buy the microphone ect.. and not having a microphone has put me off writing so when I get one I will be back on track.
