Producer/emcee Kno of the Cunninlynguists just put out his first solo album. The beats are just :worship:

Lyrics too, he sticks to the concept so well throughout the whole album. Its one of the best albums ive heard all year.

I had to bump this thread. Kno is an amazing producer, I realised when I first heard "A Piece Of Strange" with CunninLynguists. Well this album so far is :worship:

It has a melancholic tone which is making every track memorable at the moment, loving it.

This album is very, very good. Kno is such a talented producer. From this album - the whole thing is such a well-executed concept - but special mention must go to 'La Petite Mort (Come Die With Me)', 'Rhythm of the Rain' 'Spread Your Wings' and 'Not at the End' for me. Simply amazing.

Compare the ideas and values behind this type of music with the ideas and values behind the music of popular and more mainstream 'artists' today - take the start of MTV's recent 'Hottest MCs list' for example - what does this say about the mainstream? I mean really, it's so bad the kind of things that institutions put up on a pedestal these days. It's no wonder so many people on these boards don't hold MTV in high stead. True talent and craft in 'pop' is so rare to find, in my opinion.

Kno is indeed talented and works his craft to its limits, and for that reason (in the current hip-hop climate at least) he'll stay underground. He's for sure in better company there.
