I think Eminem took some anxiety medication during the shoot of 8 mile and during the same time he recorded the soundtrack for it. That probably why his performance in the movie was a bit surprising.

I wish Eminem could still rap like he did on Rabbit Run.

Probably he did, that would explain his performance altough anxiety medication is extremely addictive and takes you to depression really fast so I preffer he smoking weed. lol

^^Yeah you're right, it is addicting when you have nothing else to focus on. He now is focusing on his daughters and I really doubt he would overdose again as much as he did during the proof incident, for his kids' sake.

My take on him being on drugs....

If Eminem happened to relapse again, depending of course, he would be more like the Eminem in the '99 to '03 era. Why I say this is because....it's like trying drugs all over again. The feeling you get and the way they make you feel. He would have lost his tolerance. During the Encore/hiatus era he was so far gone on the shit... He wouldn't be at the point already if he had relapsed since Recovery.

So basically, if Eminem has relapsed.. At this point, he would be more the jokey, feel good, happy Em. Not the slow, zombied out one.

In my opinion he made some cracking songs on that album. Yeah, he isn't Mr Controversial anymore and its not the same as 10 years ago but how could it be? He's approaching 40, all he can do is try and rhyme well and produce good songs.

For me, recovery has got a lot more good moments than bad ones.

And, for what its worth, i think its a bit daft people think he has relapsed after one verse on a shit beat that if you actually listen is quite similar in complexity to all the stuff he has put out since his comeback.
