I highly doubt she will have longevity as Recovery. Recovery had two solid singles, and still one solid (LTWYL is still selling 200k+ a week) behind it. (If Em is smart he would realese Spacebound as the fourth single to boost his sales. Every girl would eat it up.)

Speak Now has...none. (Her highest single was Mine and it reached #3 then fell off)
All her fans brought the album first week so I expect at least a 60-75% drop in sales next week and then continue dropping. But congrats to her for reaching a mili, impressive.
But I'll never say the 'L' word again...
I LA-LA-LA-LA LESBIAN!!!! AHHHHHH!

Taylor Swift surpasses million mark, the only question is by how much

her album could also possibly be bigger than 50 Cent’s “The Massacre,”(another rap album :( ) which moved 1,141,000 units in March 2005.

Wow. I don't like her music (though I dig her looks), but man she's got something serious going on. I don't think her album will have Lady Gaga's or Eminem's legs, as she's far less famous than them and her fanbase is much smaller and concentrated, but still, those are impressive numbers.

If you adjust her 1-week figure to the peak era (1999 - 2001) of album sales, she'd probably do more than 2 million in a week, which would beat Eminem's record (MMLP - 1.8 million) as solo artist.

It's hard to say though, because, while total aggregate sales have fallen mightily over the past decade, one-week sales haven't dropped that much in the past 10 years. You can't apply the same multiplying factor to one-week sales that you apply for total sales.

I usually use a 2.5x multiplier to total sales to find the 1999-2001 equivalent, but I wouldn't use it for 1-week sales. It'd be more like 1.5x....

Yeah, I know :'(
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

I'm a fan of music not just Hip-Hop, so im really glad to see an album about to hit 1 million :8) Besides Eminem fans should just be proud that his very likely to have the best seller of the year and not get to greedy.

Yea but it is kinda sad that she will beat his First week sales.

I think no ARTIST should beat eminem in sales. But next Eminem album will hit 1- 1.5 mil first week.
And dont say i am in the woods right now , because it is true. He got new fans and his BUZZ Is at top

Recovery no, some people who bought recovery thought it was eminem's first album... and it attracted new fans, like rihanna fans and pop fans..... stans have to buy it cause it's eminem, now he needs to re-please the stans and stop the ackward yelling...

Ahh i understand. You have right. Man , Mr marshalls next album should only be Dre and his own beats.

And the futures should be most from AFTERMATH and some other good rappers

lol attracting new fans = what every artists want, every artists want their music to be heard by as many people as possible, It proves that they are moving forward, not backward. No one wants to make music for a group of people only. Recovery = critics & mainstream success, both mainstream & long time fans like it, Relapse not.

Then it means that the ones who bought MMLP and TES , only a lil part bought Recovery?
