Thoughts on Eminem's comeback?

Postby One Mic » Nov 3rd, '10, 04:18

What do you think of Eminem's most recent "comeback"?

Solely in terms of the music he has put out in this time. It all started in October 2008 when he dropped "I'm Having A Relapse" and announced a new album would be coming in 2009.

Songs that impressed me: Stay Wide Awake, Going through changes, and his first Westwood freestyle.

How can hip-hop be dead if Wu-Tang is forever?

Relapse was a pretty decent comeback, but the use of accents ruined some of his songs, while it worked for others. Then came Recovery, which was a more proper comeback album, but some may argue that the punchlines and constant yelling were unnecessary.

For his first 3 studio albums, I can't point out a single major flaw in terms of his rapping ability. He still has the potential to make classic tracks like Going Through Changes. His next album would be a classic if he filled it with top-tier songs like those. I hope it's not too late for him.

At the end of the day, the dude nearly died and we should all be grateful he's back.

He's made some amazing songs (and some shit ones) but it probably took a lot of strength to start making music again for him.

Personal highlights: Stay Wide awake, Deja Vu, Beautiful, Cold wind blows, Goin Thru Changes, Not afraid, LTWYL, Almost Famous, Roman's Revenge LOL jk its bollocks.

that's what matters
August 22 2013 - from Berlin to Paris, 400€ spent just for Eminem. IT WAS WORTH EVERY SINGLE CENT!

Infinite + 313 are in my top 5 Infinite is prob my number one, greatest rhyming schemes I've ever herd

His comeback should be looked at as one of the greatest in music with all he went through and where recovery got to.
