I still think it might the the mixing. His vocals weren't as clear as Nicki's. As for the not shouting, that's why he sounds lazy. If you're always shouting, people will start to take that as your energetic form of channeling your vocal pressence. As soon as you stop doing that, you'll sound as if you're lazy. I never said he was lazy, 'cause I don't think he was lazy while recording his verse. But he did sound lazy, or, perhaps, less energetic would be a better way to phrase it, on Roman's Revenge.

I think the reason for that is due to the fact the flow isn't as tightly crafted as the beat doesn't allow for it. Seems Swizz Beats had bricks strapped to his ears when making it.

As he doesn't shout on say... "No Love" and certainly doesn't sound lazy on that.

It's all about delivery and rhythm, a lot of Encore sounded lazy because the delivery wasn't as precise and the rythm not as crafted, just that simple. His "Roman's Revenge" verses are plenty energized but they don't sound as good due to the fact the flow is less defined than his most recent, as the beat is garbage. He usually becomes the beat.

Cause the shit I hear is crazy
But your either getting lazy or you don't believe in you no more
Seems like your own opinions, not one you can form
Cant make a decision you keep questioning yourself
Second guessing and its almost like your begging for my help

The beat is definitely garbage, agreed. However, that can't be an excuse for him to be sounding so.. off. Not that the flow is off, but he sounds out of place. Sames as LTWYL II, his verse wasn't bad, but it didn't fit in with the rest of the sounds on the song. The transition of Rihanna's verse to Eminem's verse wasn't smooth at all.

I know that Eminem dissects the beat into small components before writing his verse, but, he should have realized that, after laying his verse, that it didn't sound good. The fact that he deliverd such a verse to Minaj disturbs me, I mean, Minaj has a pretty loyal following. This would have been the perfect way for him to showcase his skills to a different audience. But, instead, he delivered such a mediocre verse in terms of vocal presence.

Em's on this? Just hearing crooked's verse which sounds amazing, it already seems better than the first session. And if it's true that they forced Em (not literally lol) to rewrite his verse, that can only mean good things for us. :y:

Sounds like a sequel to a very average song... not interested in this.

How's that nonsense?

His ''widely known atributes, and control of his documents is confidence'', is nonsense?

That wasn't even the line he rapped.

It's pretty much a whole slew of nonsense.

When you're rapping that fast and with that flow (his flow wasn't very good), it's hard to make sense with your lyrics. The lyrics are poor, though.

How's his flow not good? His flow was good, as far as I can make up from that snippet. Lyrically it's good too, it's basically bragging. He's making sense.. This isn't a Canibus verse.

yeah,. There's a link in the thread to a budden video where he's discussing everyone writing their verses for the song and talks about Eminem being featured and how it changes the song and how Em rewrote his verse, etc.
