i need help

can someone explain to me the ups and downs of recording my own song. like what system do u use to record and then mix it with the beat. all help is appreciated

You can use Adobe Audition or Cool Edit Pro to record. I use this to mix

What i Did -

First - i cut away the silence before and after i have recorded the verse so my pella is just the vocals.

Seconds - Effects > Noise Reduction > CLick/Pop Eliminator > Select "Hiss + Alot Of Clicks" on the right of the pop up window > Then click "Auto FInd all levels" underneath the diagram on the left of the pop up window > then click Ok

Third - effect > Amplitude > Dynamics Proccessing > select 41, -24 Very Fast attack on the left side of the pop up > click ok

Fourth - effects > filters > graphic equalizer > Select "Spit Clear" from the preset options > then click ok

Last > Effects > Amplitude > Pan/Expan > Select Mastering Width from the right of the pop up window > click ok
