Not bad.

In reality I don't think it's that Em has 'lost' much, but it's just that he's obsessed with sounding drastically different every 'album era'.

So he's trying to master this fast / slow flow mix and make a distinct style.

I think "Despicable" has been the peak at that attempt so far.

Because when you see shit like the 09 Westwood freestyle, when there's no pressure for him to do that, you can see his full potential.

His lyrics are suffering in his quest to sound different IMO. But in his quest to do that, he's fucking with a lot of the formula that makes him great in the first place. He's not as witty but I think it's partly because he's trying to second-guess and be different than he was.

Which, is a good thing I mean, I don't want to hear the same shit. I just think it's gonna take him a while before he gets there. Although, there's been many flashes of him finding his feet, on stuff like "Almost Famous" and "Cinderella Man".

EDIT: It's a really nice verse actually (lyrically and flow-wise), def. the best one out of the three. But yeah, the delivery kinda ruins it, again.

Really nice flow - which shows he still has it - don't particulary mind the shouting until it gets out of hand sometimes when he finishes lines: eg. "FUCKIN' BUTT" "GET THE PAPER!" which makes sense on songs like LTWYL2 and its emotion but doesn't make sense with these lyrics.

Em needs to sound more chilled out, basically - he's trying too hard.

About the mixing, I, and probably the others, meant that it isn't properly mixed because the vocals aren't properly placed (Akon's hook gets cut off a little right when Em's verse starts), plus the mastering is awful (or it isn't mastered at all).
