Not bad.
In reality I don't think it's that Em has 'lost' much, but it's just that he's obsessed with sounding drastically different every 'album era'.
So he's trying to master this fast / slow flow mix and make a distinct style.
I think "Despicable" has been the peak at that attempt so far.
Because when you see shit like the 09 Westwood freestyle, when there's no pressure for him to do that, you can see his full potential.
His lyrics are suffering in his quest to sound different IMO. But in his quest to do that, he's fucking with a lot of the formula that makes him great in the first place. He's not as witty but I think it's partly because he's trying to second-guess and be different than he was.
Which, is a good thing I mean, I don't want to hear the same shit. I just think it's gonna take him a while before he gets there. Although, there's been many flashes of him finding his feet, on stuff like "Almost Famous" and "Cinderella Man".
