It sold 4 mil till the beginning of 2009,they shipped around 10 mil I think(not 100% sure tho),but yeah still way over Recovery

The Fame-Monster has sold 5,754,700 copies YTD.
Recovery has sold 5,478,300 copies YTD.

Recovery has outsold The Fame-Monster by 86k, 84k, 77k, 72k, 63k and 46k the last six weeks respectively. To the previous poster's point, Recovery must outsell The Fame-Monster by an average of 30k over the next nine weeks in order to surpass it.

On a side note, it must average roughly 58k over the next nine weeks of the year to reach 6 million copies worldwide for 2010.

Both accomplishments will be VERY close.
