When Em Has Written for Dre...

Postby EminemBase » Nov 11th, '10, 14:42

I wonder if he's been the one to write 'nikka / the n word' (I don't mean does he actually write either of those as Fa-Q thought), I mean I wonder if he actually writes the word itself when Dre has said it?

Because it would seem awkward and weird either way. It's not like he can pretend Dre doesn't use the word, so if he doesn't write it at all in the verse looks like he's purposely avoiding it and if he does write it, he probably also feels awkward for writing it lmao.

I'm not somebody who thinks only black people can say the word but I just found this exact situation a weird one, given the general perception.

I think he does. I'm also sure he raps "nikka" while doing the mock up track that Dre memorizes. (Crazy one of those hasn't leaked yet, that would be crazy)

I'd hope they're mature enough to know Eminem isn't racist, and that obviously it's more than ok for Dre to say it in a verse. It's just a word.

Nas:
"Genuine nig**z, so I salute my, nig**z
Not mad 'cause Eminem said nig*a, 'cause he my nig*a
wig*a, cracker, friend - we all black within, okay?"

Sort of off-topic, but bordering on-topic

(A lot of people might not have heard these)

Lmao @ "50 Cent ''approving'' of it"

Cheeky as fuck. Like 50 Cent or any black person is the ambassordor of a fucking word lmao. 50 Cent, went through slavery did he? Nooooooooooooo. We're all in the same boat.

Just because modern black people are CLOSER ancestors. In reality all life is related so technically, we're all ancestors of slaves lmao. It's so ridiculous.

I didn't say he wrote nikka you silly person. IIII wrote nikka because the real word gets blanked out on here. So it was a way to let people know what word I meant.

Yeah that's been known for a long-time.

He wrote all of "Forgot About Dre". He's not the only one, Dre has never written for himself.

In 50's defence he didn't actually say "I approve of Eminem using the word" - it's just whoever uploaded the video to YouTube, decided to put that as the video title.

Interviewer: Should Eminem be allowed to use the word "n!gga" in his music?

50: Around me he can say whatever he wants.

It's a fair answer IMO.

In my defence, it was only the title that I was insulting :)

I have a feeling the black people he's close with don't mind when he uses it. I'm judging this merely off the live performance of "What's the Difference" with Dre & Xzibit.

1:52 he mouths it. At 2:05 he says it out loud.

He seems fairly comfortable using it here.

I could just tell by listening to Dre that Eminem wrote The Watcher (3 amazing verses) and Dre's Bodyguard verse:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwzUttYxDEc
Niggaz is so gangsta, Niggaz is thugs
Niggaz'll spend their whole life peddlin drugs
Slanging dope in hopes of one day bein able
To own their own label and give the game up
Some niggaz came up, some just didn't
That's just the way it is, if it ain't meant it, it just isn't
Some niggaz'll get money and pay niggaz to back em
So they can act up, feel comfortable, and rap tough
And that's as backwards, cuz them niggaz just gone keep coming back
And that's when extortion happens
You struggle to get free, I know how this shit be
You deal with anything to live legitimately
But you gone find if you do get in this industry
It's best to be business with me than against me
Niggaz get behind mics and ain't even MC's
Niggaz get on MTV just to diss me
This shit don't even piss me off
I'm laughin all the way to the bank
Watchin the satellite from a Bentley
You niggaz don't even got a car
You're so far under my radar
I don't even know who the fuck you are
To tell you to suck my dick while I'm pissin
I don't even listen to your shit to know who the fuck I'm dissin
The media just feeds into these feuds
Tryin to add fuel to the fire. This little nigga, Ja Rule
Talking bout he's gonna slap me. Nigga please
You gotta jump and swing up to hit me in the knees
I laugh at these magazines when they interview em
All they doin is making fake threats to us through em
And pussy you're not Pac, I knew em
Pac was a real nigga, you just a fuckin insult to em
It's too bad we had to fallout before he passes
If he could see this shit now, he'd be whoopin your ass
You're talkin to a pioneer who engineered this shit for 19 years
Who you got in your ear? I don't even gotta say it, the fans know
Quit tryin to be tough, nigga, you look like a asshole

^Also, lots of N-bombs in that verse

He also says it here...

At 2.16 - Quite loud too (and for repeat choruses). Although I think anybody should be able to say it, I still have to concede that due to the stigma we've built around it, that does feel a bit weird hearing him saying out loud.

He was literally the coolest fucker on the planet in 00/01 though.

It's not about saying the actual word though, banning words (for anybody) is childish and silly. And when awkward white news presenters in America say "the n word" etc. it just makes it worse.

It's about context. It's only offensive if it's used in a racial context, black or white. No word on its own should be offensive, it's just really silly.

The Watcher 2 being on Jay-Z's album would indicate that Jay wrote it, not Eminem.

Everyday it's the same thang, L.A. ain't changed
Niggaz still playa hatin, but Dre ain't changed
I'm just a lot smarter now
cause these niggaz is bangin ten times harder now
Niggaz ringin they ass up in the wrong part of town
Better turn they car around
Rollin the window down (Em: Hey can we talk it out?)
(Hitt: NAH GET THE FUCK OUT!)
Johnny got a shotgun
and he ain't even strong enough to cock one
Fuck tryin to job hunt
Niggaz got AK's, niggaz is way crazier
than Dre was back in his N.W.A. days
Niggaz spray strays and shoot without lookin
Niggaz walk by and blast without leavin a footprint
I think the attitudes are twice as worst
It takes half the time to get your life reversed
Always tryin to play Rambo with they ammo
Make a nigga wanna stay in family mode

Dre's verse on Bang Bang looks like Eminem's work though.
