4. Recovery - 7/10
5. Relapse - 7/10

I wasn't gonna give TES 10 but, if I don't give that a 10 I don't know if 10 can exist lmao. I'm not saying it's totally perfect but, if anything deserves full marks it's that.

Also, I consider The Marshall Mathers LP a masterpiece and more important, but in terms of just pure musical / lyrical ranking of better and worse, I think TES beats it.

As for the Recovery / Relapse thing... That's hard even now. I don't think they're set-in enough yet. I actually love Relapse, probably more-so than Recovery but... I don't know, as a rounded album, in a list like this I think I'd have to rank Recovery higher.

But Relapse was fucked up by literally two songs. And could of been a classic.

List your rankings...

You said before that for you Recovery is classic. Now only 7/10?
"Proof, No matter how much time passes, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. If it weren't for you, I would not be where I am today and we both know it. I tried to write song for you but nothing was good enough, so I'm dedicating them all to you-and you'd be happy to know that I spazzed out on 'em gain!I know you wouldn't have it any other way! Fuck 'em all--let's get 'em!
P.S. I'm sober now, I know you'd be proud. I love you Doody, I'll never forget you. Love, Doody "

I've never called Recovery a classic.

In fact it was only recently that I made a post saying the sequencing is one of the things that stops it being so for me. Amongst other aspects.

When it first came out I think I gave it... 4.5/5 in a review. Much of what I said in the review still stands but I would perhaps re-rate it 3.5/5 now. Those ratings are kind of spurious anyway, I mean ratings in general. It's so hard to put a number on it.

But basically, I think Recovery is an excellent album. But not a classic and not approaching the quality of the first three. It doesn't all flow well enough in a musical theme to be a classic. If he had produced it all maybe it could of been. As lyrically, it's consistent.

Why?

OMGshz guys, he almost died and was addicted to pills we should be thankful he's putting out music regardless of how shitty it is. We'll cut him a break too because he went though a hard time and call it a classic :worship: :worship:

i never said a recovery was a classic EVER, so dont quote me on that one, its a solid album, enjoyable to listen to, you just look into it too much man, you also said you listened to the album twice or so, barley a chance given there

I agree with this but I'd probably mark Relapse down to 6.5

I never said you said it was classic I was just mocking everyone who does. And I never listened to it again because for me it's replay value was 0. Making me give it a solid 6/10
