Kanye's one of those people who blurts out whatever's on his mind (see the Taylor Swift incident). No one, not even Kanye, can deny 2Pac of his legacy as ONE of the greatest of all time. I'm sure Kanye knows this, so I think all he really meant by it was those were the names that pop in his head. I mean, when I think of hip hop today, I think of Em, Wayne (unfortunately...), Kanye, Young Money (also unfortunately), not 2Pac so much. Even though 2Pac is amazing, I doubt people really blast his music these days (I do, but others do not share my tastes in music)

No one should take what Kanye said seriously. Kanye's just being Kanye, you can't fault him on how his mind works

Yeah, Recovery and My Beautiful Dark Fantasy are my two favorite albums of the year so far

umm . to everyone getting their panties in a bunch for this comment . Kanye called Eminem the greatest of all time on Hot 97 . When Angie asked on what basis he said that and whether he means the rhyming skills and all that he said he is not talking about the skills or the flow of the MC but rather what package an artist gives as a whole . What kind of audience he is able to reach out to and etc.

Nas to me is better then Em in some aspects such as subject matter but he has clearly failed to reach out to the mass audience as compared to Lil wayne .
