It's still not him lmao, he's still saying rehearsed lines that aren't coming out of his head - He still has to be believable, authentic and realistic in every way as another human. The technique(s) remain. And it's obvious from that, that he has real acting potential too.

8 Mile wasn't easy, but it also wasn't too far from his comfort zone. A step-up would be something like you've mentioned - The Machinist. I can see Em pulling off a psychotic/demented character quite nicely.

Absolutely as, even though it's not screen-acting - he's very well versed in encapsulating mindsets and portraying characters in realistic ways.

If you look at "Kim", that's great acting. And there's so much nuance and little details to it to add to the psychopathy. And like Joe Budden said, with Em it's "more than rapping" - It literally is, he totally embraces whatever he's choosing to portray, he becomes it.

It's like genuine voice acting, he totally exudes from himself.

I think he'd bring a lot to that kind of screen-role, it'd be fascinating.

What about a drama?? The other geners doesn't looks good for him!!! Horror - maybe but he did somethink like that in the relapse era so it would be stupid if he comes back to that. Action - hell no, he's not a guy for somethink like that. Superhero movie or somethink - that's the stupid think that i ever heard. Comedie - maybe but won't be nothink spacial, Em doesn't even smile these dayz. The proposion of EmBase is really good, a role like that fits perfect for him, but i still think the best gener is the drama.
He can act like himself agan like in 8 mile but this time the problem would be not that he's white, the problem would be the drugs.... he can do somethink like that really good i think!!!

I don't know if he is ever gonna play in a movie again. He's been asked that question for over 8 years now.I can't see him playing a thriller now, maybe when he was doing Relapse yeah(there was a rumour about Shady Talez or smth).Comedy I agree with Slill ,maybe if he loosens up a bit,but these days he is way too serious for that.Action?Hmmm remember your reaction when u saw Not afraid video?Exactly.doesn't suit him for some reason lol.
So basically i would see him in a drama, maybe even about himself(again).8 Mile was in his confort zone,so why not do a movie scene he is good at,instead of seeing him try something uncharacteristic and fail?

i hope 8mile is the last one. idk but now everytime i read an article about Em just waiting for the right role/script i always think that it will fail. maybe i'm just too scared of him failing (movie/acting wise).
