Em, no question. Kanye has one album that is a classic for sure....he has two that are just about classics.

Em has four classics....simple as that

You can't judge that yet, you can only judge who changed the music industry the most when you can look back in a couple years and see what changed. If I had to guess I would say Eminem though because of the huge amounts of white people he got to start rapping.

P.S Wait till Nov. 30, this will be Copywrites year.

professor wrote:Now i know majority on this forum are Eminem fans, so dont let bias critique take over. Both Eminem and Kanye have been influencial to Hip Hop and the music industry, but who do you think changed the game the most? Of course, em takes the cake with album sales. But Kanye's sound and production has for sure changed the game in Hip Hop. I mean, did eminem change the game because of his skin color? I know for a fact he changed the game in rap because he just was better than every other rapper and the color of skin had/has no input. Kanye on the other hand droped HS Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, 808s, and now Twisted Fantasy (awesome album by the way). No doubt this year will be Em and Ye's year. So, what's your guys' input?

Eminem fans on an Eminem forum? WHAT?! :o

Nah, but seriously...it's more Em's year than Kanye's, but Kanye definitely has a close second

Came back to annihilate, the game's in dire straights, as I await
Word on Satan, as I drop, fall to my knees before this Quija board and I pray
Now I lay me down to sleep
I do this shit in my sleep, I’m sleepin' now, imagine if I awake

He changed the way future rappers would rhyme and went places NO rapper has ever gone/will go before. He basically owned the music industry from 99-02.

Kanye hasn't changed a lot. Maybe with production style. Nothing more really.

Spoke to a generation of angry teenagers
Whom if it wasn't for rap to bridge the gap may be raised to be racist
Who may have never got to see our faces
Grace the covers of Rolling Stone pages
Broke down barriers of language and races

I'm not being bias, it's just not a question :facepalm
i'm comin in, drivin my short bus
with this nose i don't need a torch up
bustin through, light the industry's porsche up
comin after who didn't support us...

You didnt specify if this year or over the years since they are more known in the game? But since you put is/was you probably mean in time not this year..but...
2010:I give Kanye props for beeing a good producer, but i can't get into his music as a rapper. So my answer would be Em.
Over the years? There's no confusion in my mind that Em's way over Ye. :coffee:

Seems like your own opinions, not one you can form
Cant make a decision you keep questioning yourself
