Like I said in another post though, no matter how good Detox is musically it WILL disappoint. Because people are expecting hip-hop Mozart. When, as shown here... it's just going to be another album about blunts and bitches.

You can put as many spins on it as you like or call Dre some kind of inhuman beat-mater but, it's STILL just an album full of the expected, it's STILL not gonna be Bach in hip-hop form resurrected. Representing for all the cliché's in the genre's history.

I'm not worried about it though, I'm just saying, people will be disappointed. But, given the fact that cunt Akon was on it I think that turned out a lot better than expected. And Snoop (regardless of his laziness in very recent, recent and not so recent years STILL has one of the most badass voices for rap.

My conclusion is that this song sounds really cluttered, and that is because dre feels like he has to over produce to live up to his production standards. this song on a beat like "Living Proof" would be great

My thoughts.

1 – I understand people are expecting pure greatness, this is how it was for 2001 as well. After the entire thing dropped, then people calmed down. Initially there will be bitching from every corner.

2- Great club banger, not Still Dre level but still good. Play it on loud speakers, and you’ll go nuts.

3- Akon would be nowhere near this if it wasn’t for Nate’s stroke. Anyone rather Devin the Dude here?

4- That’s Nate Dogg in the background, and when I figured it out I got goosebumps. Can’t believe he’s so sick that he can’t record properly. Get better Nate.

5 – Lets go, ground shattering music is here. Everyone just stop hatin, lay back and enjoy. This is the last time we can hear Dre albums whilst we’re alive, we’re all apart of history and listening to the final ever release of one of the true legends of music and hip hop - everyone calm the fuck down.

He's a producer first and foremost to me so I don't care that much if the lyrics suck (which they usually do when west coast artists write something). The same goes for Kanye West.

Hook was bearable but you would have expected something better than Akon :/

EDIT: Not as good as the singles of 2001 but a lot better than the worst tracks from it (Ackrite, Light speed). At this point, I don't care if this is going to be a groundbreaking album or a classic - I just want nice music, that's all.
