Yeah Recovery's production was horrible. All his albums have a coherent sound, Recovery is all over the place. The best rap albums ever all have a signature sound (MMLP, SSLP, Illmatic, TES, 36 Chambers, Disposable Arts, Black Star, It Was Written etc)

Boi-1da is a terrible producer (and what kinda fucking name is that?!)

SMH @this thread

All thru Em's career people complained over and over about how his beats always sucked, and how he needed to work with other producers. Now that he has, people are complaining aout that too

I remember reading the Blaze magazine review for the SSLP when it came out and they gave it 3.5/5 because they said the production was "Flat" and "Boring"

The internet isnt gonna be happy until he Em puts up a youtube video with him crackin a laptop over his head, lol

That's the oddest complaint I've ever heard. That's the last 2 words I'd used to describe SSLP's production - album has amazing producion. Bass Brothers and Dre smashed it.

Just listening to Relapse earlier and, seriously, the production on that album is just amazing. Didn't appreciate how good it was when I first heard the album.

That would be great haha. But yeah the beats on SSLP were nothing special, but by TES and even Encore, they were nuts, they just straight up banged. Dre needs to be on Em albums, not all the tracks, but more than 1 like Recovery. Relapse beats were awesome, Old Times Sake was crazy and I see 3AM as the 1000000x better version of WBD.

Eminem always has average productions to me, he got some amazing beats here and there but production is like my least favorite thing when listen to his albums.

Are you sure about this, sir? :facepalm
