I have to agree with you on this one. And I'm a die-hard, defend-whatever-Em-says Eminem fan.
I don't want to say I hated his verse but it's like I've heard it before....know what I mean. I swear he recorded that verse STRAIGHT after doing Love The Way You Lie. It's kinda getting too repetitive for my like.
Props to Christopher Lloyd though. Nigga did his thing.

I would say Em did better but it's not ridiculous to say Banks was close either. It's just his voice which makes it sound inferior also.

As his rhyming / lyricism was pretty good.

Em used to make people sound laughable to the point where it wasn't even a discussion but lately he's not doing that. He's 'just about' doing better or questionably on par / worse.

He's focusing so much on adapting his style to current times and trying to do all these god awful 'techniques' aka lack of true intelligent lyricism that he's ruining his own magic. If you listen to say the "Devli's Night" verse...

A whole generation of kids blowin' out their fuckin' brains to this / Kurt Kobain music...

That kind of writing, just... bare-bones poetic explanation and assertion ethers anything he's said lately. I love the fact he's trying to put the attitude back in his music, constantly saying fuck the world etc. but I wish he'd drop the fucking puns now.

Honestly, I'm starting to almost get annoyed w/ Em's recent features. Leading up to, and when Recovery came out, Em, while not as good as his prime, was impressive and the few songs he released & was featured on he killed it. Now, everything post-Recovery bar maybe one or two of them have been extremely mediocre. Em has had very boring, sub par, average verses that don't stand out and don't suit his reputation of destroying features. Em used to always have that exceptional verse that easily destroyed whoever else was on the song w/ him and just made you go . Now, it's just that he was SLIGHTLY better or on par with the other rapper. Em's just not exceptional recently
