Imagine without the accent or yelling

Postby Fa-Q » Nov 23rd, '10, 09:47

I did the exact same thing with Relapse's songs. Imagine the songs without the yelling. Wont back down would not be good without the yelling, but the yelling complete the concept of the song and the album....just saying....thoughts

Wthout the accents or yelling people would just complain about something else like they always have about anything Em related..........

On your point tho, without the accents half of relapse wouldnt have even rhymed together, stretching out those accents to make words that dont rhyme together sound like they did was the glue that held that album together, without the accents he would have had to write completely diffrent rhymes altogether so its really not much of a debate......

The "accents" as people call them are fucking awesome.

The reason people have a hard time calling them a specific region of accent is because he's not putting on any one accent.

He's literally just emphasizing the syllables of words to bolderize rhymes. And to ME, it makes it sound absolutely class, I've always loved Relapse. The flows melt in my ears.

This. More and more Relapse is growing on me. I´m a fan of rhyming techique and Relapse is a delight to my ears. Im not gonna lie, at first i hated the "accent". Now i cant imagine Relapse without it. Its one of the things that makes it unique :worship:

do people really hear that much "yelling" in recovery? I'm not a fan of yelling in recent features but his voice in recovery was never a problem to me (except maybe Almost Famous)

Recovery wouldn't have been thesame without those few yelling. On the other hand i think relapse would've been way better without the ancents.........but i gotta say Em is kinda running the yelling and the fast flow into the ground just the way he did the ancent on these recent features.
