Eminem's next album

Postby shadyboymez » Nov 24th, '10, 03:16

Now that some time has passed and Recovery has set in on everybody, it's time to start looking ahead to what might be next for Mr. Slim Shady. It appears that there won't be a five year hiatus following this album, as Eminem has been popping up in features, and getting radio play more than ever. He did what nobody thought he could, and whether his longtime fans agree with his "new style" or not, it is working for him.

After hearing his album and all the songs that Eminem's been featured in since, I think we all have a good idea of where he is at lyrically, creatively, and flow-wise. I was wondering..what are people's expectations for a follow up to Recovery?

Who should/will be featured on this album? Will it follow a similar style to Recovery? Will Eminem go back to his Relapse ways, or mix it up a little more on this one? Will this be his final album?

So many questions, and so many things to talk about. Instead of going on about a Recovery Re-release that I don't think is even coming, why not talk about something that probably will happen.

I believe there will be a non-solo album from him before his next album

I have no idea what it will be like. Probably different from all the others, because he tends to do that.

I really don't look for it to be any good, considering it the last two out of three albums he has made have been pretty bad. The only one I liked was Relapse. The other two only had a few good songs. He's made a lot of material over the years. Rap isn't like wine, it usually just get worse.

I do hope he does more with royce, that weed be sweet.

I think Em need's to do his thing.

Whatever he feels at that moment he needs to make it. I think there will still be a wave of this new style coming on from songs being recorded at the moment.. But he will move onto his next "thing" and it will be a whole new era.

I think the next era coming up will be the most exciting.. I think he will go back to doing him.. shit maybe he will release another album like recovery.. maybe two of them. But Eminem will get back to doing him. I think he will get back into his groove and start getting that shady inspiration.

I just hope he doesn't let us down.

So if your not expecting him to release quality material from now on, what are exactly your expectations? You don't like his new style? I respect your opinion but i think everyone who is not feeling some one's music anymore should just move on and listen to other artists. I might be reaching a little but your saying that he is going to get worse after he released a better record then his previous record "Relapse"? People have different opinions but almost everyone prefers Recovery over Relapse.

I think a thread similar to this was made before...but it was just a "what do you think the next album will be like" thread. This one seems to have a little more depth

Um...well, I'm pretty sure by the time he drops it, he'll grow out of this yelling stage. Which I don't really have a problem with, but a lot of you do. I hope he finds some creative things to write about, and maybe he'll drop another classic :y:

I'm still waiting for that one Em album that will beat The Eminem Show for me

I feel like he is going to take 2-3 years till his next solo album is released, and honestly I expect it to be amazing because I think in his mind, he realizes that his next album, whether it comes out next year or in 5 years has a very good chance of being his last :coffee:

he can't keep saying he's back 3 years from now, and thats his main focus in most his non-romance tracks...so i say he rushes an album while he's still got that chip on his shoulder that no one is allowed to eat

after Recovery my bar is set pretty high, and I honestly don't expect Em to top Recovery with a new album, it's hard.

Word. He's gonna need a gimmick album. Like a full lyrical slaughter album or something. Something that's intentionally the same theme all the way through.

Re: Eminem's next album

Postby kerryjoe » Nov 24th, '10, 08:23

I want to hear more raw songs from him on his next album. Shit like "Kill You" and "Still Don't Give a Fuck" where he just rhymes crazy bizzare shit that makes sense but that you would never be able to think of. I hope his voice sounds like "Talkin' 2 Myself"/"You're Never Over"/"The Warning." But judging by his track record, it'll have a few deep personal songs, a few party songs, and a few album fillers. I've been a die hard Eminem fan for since I was 9 and it seems that no matter what he does there's always a group of fans that don't like something about it. Whatever his next album will be, I don't think it'll come out for quite some time, year and a half probably, Summer 2012 maybe, I hope sooner but I doubt it. I think he'll be in a lot of features and who knows, maybe he'll do something completely different and out of the blue like an album with another artist, or maybe he'll be in a movie and have complete artistic control over the soundtrack which would be dope. No one knows though, it's only speculation and hope.
