Banks did better than Em

I would say Em did better but it's not ridiculous to say Banks was close either. It's just his voice which makes it sound inferior also.

As his rhyming / lyricism was pretty good.

Em used to make people sound laughable to the point where it wasn't even a discussion but lately he's not doing that. He's 'just about' doing better or questionably on par / worse.

He's focusing so much on adapting his style to current times and trying to do all these god awful 'techniques' aka lack of true intelligent lyricism that he's ruining his own magic. If you listen to say the "Devli's Night" verse...

That kind of writing, just... bare-bones poetic explanation and assertion ethers anything he's said lately. I love the fact he's trying to put the attitude back in his music, constantly saying fuck the world etc. but I wish he'd drop the fucking puns now.

I wouldn't say he's trying hard to be his old self - Or at least, I wouldn't say that is what's ruining him. I'd say him trying to 'fit in' is ruining it.

He's said himself recently he watched the game and has been trying to 'adapt' to it. THAT is what's ruining him. Him trying to spit Wayne / Drake like punchlines and be relevant for its own sake etc. They don't even sound good doing it, that's why they're awful.

When he's truly being himself still, it works.

He ironically contradicts himself all the time too. Like on "Talkin' 2 Myself" he says "Quit worrying about what they do and do Shady" yet doesn't live by that MO even now. As what's he trying to do? mould his fucking sound, he IS worrying about what 'they' do.

some people are so overreacting with the "yelling", like in this track he did not even yell but people are so skeptical now that even when he use an slightly aggressive voice it's labeled as yelling

I know, it sucks that people will never be satisfied with anything he does...to be honest, his features have been pretty good, to me. Where I'm At and All She Wrote are class

it was close, Banks had a very good verse...but i dont know..Em's verse is one of my favorites from all the recent features.
