I personally didn't like the production they did with Pac's Life and all of the unnecessary guest features by awful rappers but the album had some great 2Pac verses.

He changed his name to Makaveli because he was studying a lot about Niccolò Machiavelli's philosophies while he was incarcerated and he thought it was interesting to create an alter-ego based on Machiavelli's teachings.

The only reason I made this thread was because I felt obligated to state my opinion as to why I believe 2Pac is more deserving of the best rapper title. I respect ALL of your opinions and I would appreciate if you would respect mine as well.

The guy is a genius even on drugs he was still a genius. In my opinion Pac is a better poet, but Em is the better rapper. I completely agree....A lot of people look at Encore as a garbage album....I look at it at as the writings of a frustrated superstar trying to desperately figure out what he wants to do with the rest of his life and career.

He was going through a phase, and though he joked around a lot, it was like the last Slim Shady comming out of him. Like Slim Shady was bowing down, saying goodbye for (final) to the fans.

Slim Shady's been dead for years. Eminem's back. But that's what Encore was. A goodbye album.

He said he can't live like Slim Shady anymore, and it was destroying himself, family, and career.

He was already a superstar around All Eyez On Me. People loved him and he had a whole generation of listeners at the palm of his hands.

He would not be another rapper by any means necessary if he was still alive.
