Does he have some sort of a problem with Muslims or something? Or has he given in to the negative stereotypes himself like any average guy would do? It almost seems like he has a little anti-Muslim thing going on in his lyrics.
In the "I Remember (Everlast diss)" track, he said:
"I'm sorry man, I wasn't tryin to steal your light or nothin
But you're a homosexual, white rappin Irish {*Muslim*}
Man I wish I was irish, I could be a {*Muslim*} too
Then I'd be confused as you, and I wouldn't know what to do"
Is he implying that just because Everlast supposedly converted to Islam, that it was one of the reasons that made him "confused"? Here it sounds like he uses the term "Muslim" as if it was a bad thing like a slur, or like a disease... as if hes generalizing Muslims on whatever negative stuff other people have committed.
Also in "Quitter (Everlast diss)", he said:
"You claim to be a Muslim but you Irish White
So **** you fat boy, drop the mic, let's fight"
I know its sarcastic and hes saying it for the sake of rhyming, but it makes him seem clueless about the fact that Muslims are international and anyone in the world can be one since the religion values equality that race or color dont matter. Or is Em onto something else?
Then in the "Osama Bin Laden Diss" track where he imitates bin Laden, he said:
"The Strangest things can happen to an Afghan
When people get wrapped up in Islam and Allah"
The last rhyme, i just cannot wrap my head around it what he really meant with this because of the sarcasm. Is the common Afghan pestered because of the religious profiling from West? Or is it that Afghans who are "wrapped up" in Islam and Allah are considered to do "strange things"? OR is this a reference made to the Taliban back when they were governing Afghanistan?
And please note that I'm not offended or anything like that... well, it eats a little sometimes but i just wanna know why he seems so negative and sarcastic when Muslims are involved, as it appears like. If its true then i think its very very sad because i really think hes an incredibly talented rapper, probably the best in our century. His skills are unmatchable and admirable, only topped by Pac. To think that someone like him would give in to such profiling.
