they could have at least shipped it well in new york, everything heard about banks album from fans was that it was sold out everywhere they went to.

It's far above average and I guess you don't understand how the music business works.
Labels are a major force behind the success or flop of the album they're releasing. If they shipped only a couple thousand copies the album then it's obviously not going to sell that much.

But keep in mind he sold over 600k with ONE single and that was when he was independent....You can't tell me that's not impressive and plus the album was sold out in a lot of Best Buys in NY....So there was nothing wrong with the quality of the album.

The album was poorly promoted.
