Lmao. Man, it seems nobody gives Em his respect unless they're pressed to. Like Nas before, said about Em's comeback that Em contributes so much lyrically etc. but unless theses guys have his name brought up they never mention him.

How the fuck are Lil Kim and Rick Ross worth mentioning but Eminem not. Ridiculous.

He mentioned him in the Untitled booklet amongst names such as Michael Jordan, Frank Sinatra and Muhammad Ali.

Nice, I don't have that album as a physical copy.

What does he say exactly?

Nothing. He has a huge "thank you"-list in which he names all kind of big names. I've just taken a quick look at it and it seems that Eminem is the only rapper there.

*Deleting some Nas songs from my Ipod*
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

I think the title of the article is misleading.

He's basically just mentioning songs at the moment where the lyrics relate to him or where he likes the lyrics.

Eminem likes Jim Jones, Drake and Lil Wayne - gunna delete some of Em's songs while you're at it?

All he is doing, like Mike mentioned, is naming songs that appeal to him. If it was just his top best Hip Hop lyricists, then why would he even mention those songs, and elaborate on why he likes those songs? Oh, and if you're going to stop listening to Nas because of this, then you should stop listening to music overall. The minute an artist's opinion influences your music taste, while the music itself doesn't influence your taste, then you're fucked.

You really need to go away. Every thread you post in all you say is "STANS ARE SO STUPID! STUPID STANS!".

Fuckin' leave if you are just gonna continue with this bullshit.

I honestly put it down to racism.

If Eminem was black, Nas would 100% mention him.

And I wouldn't say it if it wasn't somebody like Nas or Mos Def. Who are obsessed with black history and 'black activism' and basically are racist cunts.

They begrudgingly respect Em because they're forced to but don't give him his due.
The devil ain't on a level same as him!

Stupid idea.
I think people are really over reacting to the list. While I personally don't like some of the songs he chose, it's obvious if you actually read that isn't really his opinion on best lyricists and more along the lines of his favorite songs at the moment, especially when he describes his feelings on SONGS, not actual lyricists.

God some of you Stans are so embarrassing, and blow everything out of proportion. The racism call is one of the most embarrassing calls I've ever seen.

It's quite clear that list was made by Nas by what he was just feeling at that particular time, just what was on his mind right there. The reference to that 'I'm single' (never heard that song myself) should make that clear.

As for Nas and what he thinks of Eminem, it's nothing but positive. Nothing but the biggest amount of respect.

Just last year before Eminem's return, Nas said the following -
"I think that's one of the most exciting things hip hop can look forward to. He contributes so much lyrically and musically, he's amazing,"

Two years a go in an interview with Complex, he was asked who still excites him in terms of Hip Hop and he responded only with "Kanye, OutKast, Eminem".

Around the time Eminem was killing it, I remember Nas said Eminem was in his top 5 favourite Mc's of all time too.

Also in the thank you's for the N1gger album (Nas' most recent solo album) he mentions Eminem in the thank yous alongside the likes of Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson - WTF does that tell you?
