Agreed, there's never been an Eminem song that I just didn't get.

Occasionally a few lines will go over my head when listening, but seeing the lyrics written pretty much solves that.
I do stand up.

Well how would you know if there was a line you didn't get the full effect of? :-k

I agree with Lelo on this one. Em can have all these amazing metaphors, but if they're all about cars and hot dog's it's just not interesting. Technically Em is still great, but he's just not nearly as appealing to me as he used to be.

And I know that they aren't all about "Cars and Hot Dog's" those was just an example...so don't get on me about that. :sweating:

I can understand that. Like he's still crazy spazzed-out dope lyrically, but he's just not using that skill quite the right way. ;)

Would you rather him dress like this and brag about how much money, jewelry, cars and hoes he has?

of course not, but i'd really like it if he stops rappin bout cars, hot dogs and how much he hates sluts and how big his dick is

EDIT: or he can rap bout how much he hates sluts in a good way, not usin corny punchlines, like Kill You for example...

EDIT 2: i'm not even complaining though, but I'm just :facepalm @ the fact that people think New Em is better then old em, New Eminem isn't even the quarter of the half of what old eminem was, just sayin

It all comes down to personal taste. I like the music he's making now, I relate to Where I'm At greatly, for example

.... And back on topic

That site's pretty cool helped me realise that The last line on "on fire" is " plus i gotta re-write those rhymes that i said about Michael's hair "
And then it goes one the chorus which is "YOUR ON FIRE " thought that was quite funny cause Michaels hair went on fire on the pepsi advert... and you know the rest.

Now i'll wait for someone to post "That's you JUST getting that after all this time ??? "

The punchlines aint exactly complex to get lol, understanding them doesn't make me enjoy the style any further.

Doesn't it make you appreciate more though ? Knowing that more effort was put into a line/bar(s) that you thought meant nothing.

So that's why you like SB, so that you don't need to worry about complex lyrics ?

Nah I'm kidding that was cruel.

The lyrics he used to write had more meaning and effort put into them than the "effort" he apparently took to imitate the Young Money trend with the punchlines.
