I like the album but there is no way in hell it's 5 mics.

No album is ever perfect but I think that rating or any 'perfect' rating should be reserved for albums that are mind-blowing or have such a mix of elements which are so impactful, artistic and undeniable that they cannot be ignored.

As good as the album it is, it's NOT that at all. Kanye's lyricism is just good, his themes have all been done before and to better effect - It's really just about the whole package and largely the musical composition that makes it so good.

But it's no way 'that' kind of album. It hasn't had that impact, it hasn't blown minds and it's not overwhelmingly original or startling. It's just a very good album.

Eminem has 7 hip-hop albums, out of those seven 3 are classic.
Kanye has 4 hip-hop albums, out of those four 4 are classic.

Eminem has 3 classics, 2 VERY GOOD albums, and one sub-par album. I think it's convenient how you didnt include 808's into Kanye's total so as to make his track record look better.

On topic: Ye deserves this. He made one-helluva good album.
