One Mic wrote:I've always thought it was cool that a highly respected gay musician like Elton John, who is a legend (not in my eyes, but for the vast majority in the music industry) publicly praises Eminem or gives him props.

He's done it quite a few times, and of course we all know about THAT Grammys performance, and how Elton John is Eminem's sponsor and helps him with the whole drug thing.

But I mean just general praise he often gives him every now and then. Because as we all know, 95% of gay people HATE Eminem (and that is probably no exaggeration), so I think it's cool that someone like Elton is intelligent enough to see Eminem's lyrics for what they are, and not take it literally.

I can't think of another gay musician from the top of my head, that's seal of approval is worth more than Elton's.

Don't forget the guy has had a career that has spanned four decades, and has sold over 250 million albums worldwide. He also risks upsetting his own gay fanbase, for praising someone like Eminem who they consider homophobic.

If ever I see another gay bitch about Eminem because he said 'faggot' in a song I will say.....Elton John likes him, so FUCK YOU!

Yeah but why wouldn't he praise him lmao, he's obviously not a moron that's all.

You say that as if Eminem is a homophobe and he's looking past that or something. Elton obviously listens to the actual lyrics and not other gay people, who don't.

I second this

With an Elton piano solo towards the end :y:
And Em rapping the sickest verses of his life

Yeah that would be interesting.

I'd love it to be a true meeting of minds though. As in, Em and Elton actually in a studio together, both collaborating on melody and ideas - With neither compromising what they do in their own worlds.

They could come up with something epic. I'd love it to be 'epic' to justify its existence though, not just Elton singing an already existing chorus with Em spitting some expected 'emotional' verses about his life or something. But something truly original.

You should write to him and explain to him your ideas. He probably wouldn't get to read it, but still, if somehow he did and kept that in mind...we might get some classic music from Em

I thought it would have been perfect for Not Afraid, or a song similar to that message.

Or Elton can sing the hook for Cold Wind Blows. :o

I want them to collab. :y:

I think in Elton's hey-day it would of been interesting. But now, Elton 'sings' by just kind of... Shouting words in this weird, deep, bravdo thud and cuts off the ends.

^^^^Like he kinda can't sing anymore? Ya know dude has had a long career, I have no idea last time he recorded for anything (I know he was on pac's album em produced), but I have no idea how he sounds now.

@Geno, I was thinking something different tho, not like he's done, but maybe a song with the concept "don't judge me" cause it could play of the whole 'those 2 should hate each other because of what we all assume they each personally believe, yet they are friends :confusion: ' idk just a thought

Well, to continue his love of paradoxes...

He should do a song about gay rights with Elton. Maybe use the 1st verse to weave in and out about himself from 1st / 3rd person, talking about his history and relation to the subject. Kind of like a "Renegade" verse, summiting it poetically...

Then in the following verses (maybe even be experimental and have more than three, or very long ones) - Develop a storytelling track about a gay child that gets bullied and then commits suicide. With Elton playing a stripped down, beautiful piano beat and singing an epic, haunting chorus.

So then you'd have a similar situation to "Love the Way You Lie" but far more powerful. Think how powerful their performance alone was, now imagine that concept / kind of concept or any song in that area together. The biggest publicly hounded 'homophobe' who isn't actually a homophobe and his biggest public supporter, who is also one of the biggest public homosexuals.

I'm even excited at that idea myself. I wish I was fucking Em so I could carry out all these ideas, the fucking cunt is so limited now and lacking in true artistic ambition, on a large scale. Doesn't know what to do with his own fucking skill lmao.

I got an orgasm just by imagining that.

That song would be fucking incredible. That would have the same story-telling impact that Stan did. Gays will listen and be like :o
Then Em won't be considered a worldwide homophobe, then he makes a song with Lady Gaga

Nah, that last line was just kidding. But still, that would be a world changing song probably

He could even make it more of a head-fuck by making the gay child who gets bullied and kills himself, Stan's brother Matthew.

I know a fake sequel was mentioned with an idea of Matthew... I dunno getting revenge on Em or whatever but like Em said that's cheesy.

But with this idea, imagine Matthew still being a fan of Eminem - The supposed homophobe rapper, but him being gay - A gay child who gets bullied for being gay and then kills himself. He could even make Matthew start to... Misunderstand the tognue-in-cheek gay baiting in his lyrics as he grows up and kill himself over those.

Almost parrellelling "Stan", in taking his lyrics literally. But given Elton's involvement, a focused Eminem and the right execution and that paradox etc. It could even out-do "Stan". In fact, quite easily IMO. It would be such a mix of elements and contradictions and such an artistic head-fuck but... Not for its own sake, it would be a very adult, serious theme and could be done tastefully - As in, tasteful execution but still raw and committed.

I fucking wish I was Em, I would create that cunting masterpeice tomorrow lmao.

Not a sequel to Stan, this needs to be completely new. The Matthew idea isn't bad, but I don't think it should be...how you say, structured, like Stan
