If I were a lonely, pubescent boy, I'm sure I would find Eminem's discography to be the greatest collection of music of all time. Since I'm not exceptionally angry at the world, I can only really enjoy Eminem's music every once in a while. My problem with Eminem is that he only has mood: angry. I will acknowledge that he is certainly one of the best rappers, in a technical sense, and he is one of the main reasons I got into hip hop in the first place; however, he doesn't make music for every occasion, if that makes any sense. Kanye has songs that are political, celebratory, introspective, and so on. Eminem flips between angry at himself, his mom, his girlfriend, women, and the media.

Well first off, MMLP is the fastest selling Hip Hop lp of all time. MMLP showcases Em at his peak lyrically. The albums also take on different personalities. MMLP is a dark revealing type album, while MBDTF is a worldly sounding album with Kanye going for the overkill. Now when talking about the two artists, Kanye to me has always let his production overtake the lyrics (not that the lyrics are bad) and it has been the opposite for Em. The production on both albums is good, but MBDTF clearly wins. That being said the production on MMLP fits the concept, theme and lyrics of the album suprisingly well. To say it is lacking in the production deparetment is hardly a fact. Now when we come down to lyrics, the answer is more clear. While Kanye has certainly stepped uo his lyrical ability ( with all the meaning and whatnot) MMLP showcases Em at his best, a best which few rappers ever could math. Syllable after Syllable he justs keep coming with the jaw dropping lines. It's really an easy victory for Em in this category.

So in the end, although MBDTF is a fantastic album, it does not (for me atleast) beat out one of the greatest Rap albums ever.

MMLP is for many million people all over the world the greatest albums in Hip-Hop History and also one of the greatest albums in Music history generally.
