Should fast food resturants be banned?

Fellow ladies and fella Master-Debaters, discuss serious topics.

LOl id say they should, but its the persons choice.

I think personal health should be researched more thoroughly in food production.

Coz like lets say 20 years ago, 330 ml of coke was a decent amount, now 600 ml is a normal amount. They keep trying to make us consume more.

I dont think they should be banned. Its really up to the individual, i eat fast food every now and then and it doesnt effect me. I think we gotta educate people on how to eat right and encourage physical activity.

yes this should be in sirius debate...this has been debated in australia and america....and i studied this topic in school ..

..i believe fast food restaurants shouldnt be banned coz its peoples' responsibilities to look after themselves and also the parents' responsibilities to make sure what their children consume....

...i believe it would help to ban ALL fast food advertisements...this is one way to tackle the problem with obesity..

I think there are now laws in some countries prohibiting these fast food spots in a specific range of the schools.

Why do they call them "restaraunts" anyway lol

I think they should all undergo a review. After all, the concept behind the fast food chain is a good idea, they are less expensive, have a relaxed atmosphere, casual, convenient......but not when they compromise on health :tounge2: Obviously customers can

fast food shoulden't be banned.it's true that they're not healthy, but they're useful when you've got no time or just a lil money..

i love fastfood and i don't think it should be banned because it's a nice, guilty pleasure to satisfy every now and then. It's a matter of personal preference.i'm not saying we should eat it everyday but it's effective if u haven't got time cos nowadays everybody is just too busy for anything.

Yeah but the amounts of calories served are extremely unhealthy, the dosage is rediculously large.

They prolly but some special chemicals thatll encrease ur apetite too, so u could become addicted.

Well.. They shouldn't be banned, tho I don't like them and don't eat there.. But I think nothing wrong will happen if you eat a hamburger once or twice per month.. But, for God's sake, not every day!! :confusion: There are some situations when you don't have time to go home and eat proper meal, so you go to McDonald's [desperate ppl lol :D], KFC or whatever.. Of course there are people who go and eat there every day just because of their stupidity - I think we should just feel sorry for them. Then of course they blame fast food restaurants for getting fat or sick - wtf, they decided to go there, no one said "go and eat there, cause it's healthy" - lmao, we hear on the TV, radio, in the newspapers that fast foods are unhealty, but it still makes ppl go and eat there.. Another paradox of our world.. :p

its because of debates like this that i can no longet get a supersize at McDonalds. look, i eat fast food 5-6 times a week, more if im going out of town for a trip. anyone care to gues smy weight? i am, as of a doc appointment yesterday, 121 LBs. it isnt my fault if other people get fat from fastfood, i dont and i like my larger portions. i eat alot and i like it that way. i dont think punishing people like me helps the situation. even after they took away supersize there are still people getting fatter and fatter. no matter what changes they make to fastfood people are still getting larger. this disproves the theory that fast food makes eople fat, if it did than the precautions would have helped atleast a bit, which they havent.
