To listen or to read other artists give credit to your favorite is great. But the best thing is when the fans give their love to their favorite artist.
Eminem has a lot of haters-critics but million people all over the world love him.Fans million of fans!
I wait when a website or MTV e.t.c do the biggest voting in Hip-Hop History.
Put anyone against Eminem.Tupac,Jay-Z,Biggie.....anyone.Eminem will destroy the voting because he has the most fans all over the world than any other MC i Hip-Hop history...
Remember 2009 against Tupac in the Finals..After about 1 milliοn people votes Eminem voted the Greatest rapper !Eminem was up against Tupac in the finals, and won with 67%.

The thing is that you can't compare as an example Kanye let's say with Rakim...Just you can't.Rakim is one of the greatest/skilled rappers ever. And his legacy in Hip-Hop is bigger than Kanye's....

of course Eminem won by such an impressive margin, all that does is prove your point about the fans. Also, i think it says something about the age of his fans. Majority of people taking an online music poll are going to be in the 25 and under generation, which garners a large percentage of Eminem's fanbase. Therefore, this poll really means nothing in the big picture. I have to agree that Eminem and 2pac are the two greatest rappers of all time. But to say one is better than the other, is like saying Nirvana is a similar band to Phish. Different time period, same intense passion for the music.

Listen I'm old enough to remember a lot of things about Hip-Hop history.
Tupac is great no doubt because of his impact.I have him in my Top-5 because of his impact.
At 90's before Pac's death nobody in Hip-Hop industry called Pac the GOAT.Names like Big Daddy Kane,LL Cool J,Rakim had this Title. After his death 1996 people started to called Pac GOAT.The same with Biggie after 1997.I don't know your age but if you ask a person age 35-40 he can say to you that.

Look at this now.Eminem after Eminem Show considered the Greatest ever by a lot of people all over the world and he was/is alive.
And for their legacies Tupac "had" Biggie and Biggie "had" Tupac.Their rivalry helped both legacies....
Eminem "had" Eminem. In a class by himself.
In my opinion Em took Hip-Hop from 99'-02' to the highest level ever all over the world.
Tupac and Biggie made a lot for the Hip-Hop mainly at US.
Em made a lot for the game in all over the world...
All over the years Eminem and Tupac have the most fans in Hip-Hop history. But Eminem has very very big advantage outside of US.
In USA it's like 50-50 Em vs Pac.
In all over the world there is no debate.Trust me.Eminem>>>Tupac.By far more fans.

Finally, someone doesn't dick ride Pac...I'm a Pac fan and he had the passion that so many artists need today. But, he was never the greatest. But, he's pretty close to it :y:

Came back to annihilate, the game's in dire straights, as I await
Word on Satan, as I drop, fall to my knees before this Quija board and I pray
Now I lay me down to sleep
I do this shit in my sleep, I’m sleepin' now, imagine if I awake

Not a chance it's as lopsided as you make it seem. In fact there is not a doubt in my mind if you went to hip hop heads all over the world, Tupac would come out on top.

If you go the average music fan who's got no idea of hip hop and was only exposed to it by Eminem who opened the lane for a lot of white people, then perhaps Eminem would win the debate easy. But if you ask hip hop heads who are ardent fans of hip hop, Tupac wins. No contest.

Read what I wrote about legacies.
Then I have to say that if you forget it Eminem is by far more skilled than Tupac, objective.
If you put Em with Pac on the mic Em would destroy Pac.
So if you ask hip hop heads all over the world there is no chance Tupac wins.
And you speak about Hip-Hop heads. If you ask old Hip-Hop heads who know the History of Hip-Hop how many of them do you believe they would consider Pac better than Em?
How many of them would consider Tupac the Greatest before his death?Very few!
You will hear names like KRS-One,Big Daddy Kane,LL Cool J,Rakim and then Pac.
Eminem is greater than Tupac.Tupac was a rebel and rivalry with Big made his legacy bigger.Em has a huge legacy because of his greatness and he is alive and many people called him GOAT even before 8-9 years.
The only reason some Hip-Hop people consider Pac greater than Em is because Em is white.
Some black people can't accept that Em is the Greatest because he is white and almost all Hip-Hop artists are black.

You pulled out the race card. There's no point in debating this in that case. First of all, you say black people can't accept Eminem as the best, when it could just as easily be said about Tupac too with white people, who don't even know anything about Tupac and just listen to Eminem becaus he's white. Not gonna bother even debating this now. It's just going to lead to debate which has no connection the actual topic.

I suggest you listen to this.

I said some people can't accept.Eminem is so great and you know that and some black people accept that he is the GOAT!And you speak about Hip-Hop heads who know the game and the HIstory.
No prob...We discuss.

So, those with more than 1 vote each are as follows...

Biggie............16
Jay Z.............12
Rakim............11
2Pac..............10
Nas................10
Eminem...........9
Kool G Rap........6
Scarface..........6
KRS-One..........5
Big Daddy Kane...4
Slick Rick..........4
Big Boi.............3
Andre 3000........2
Busta Rhymes.....2
LL Cool J..........2
Ludacris...........2
Nelly...............2
Redman............2
Run DMC..........2
Snoop Dogg.......2
Jadakiss...........2

So, obviously, Biggie had influenced the game more than anyone else at the time and Eminem does not make the overall top 5. Names i rarely hear though which were high were Scarface and Slick Rick.
