I don't hate him but I'm not his biggest fan. I love Carter II and Carter III is good for what it is, I can't stand anything else though.

I see. C3 had some awesome songs then some unlistenable songs like Pussy Monster. I think the album has lots of replay value though.

i think i've mentioned it before...Pussy Monster isn't on the physical copy of the album
it only appears on iTunes and replaces Playing With Fire cuz Lil Wayne was sued for not clearing a sample

I've seen in an interview, he doesn't even know which songs were on the album. One of his associates probably just put it on. I'm pretty sure all the drugs he was doing messed him up, that's why C3 was kind of incoherent album-wise, a bunch of good songs but not really any meaning to their order like say MBDTF or Recovery. Hopefully he lays off the drugs a bit and can make C4 more coherent like how Tha Carter had the whole "walking through the house" concept.

it sounds like they were trying to remake the milli track...i can't tell whats in play of "a milli" in the beat that loops a thousand time...anyone know?

It's nothing like A Milli, except for the looping of the beat. His punchlines are way better this time around, but I had imagined "A Milli on steroids" to be like Wayne rapping extremely fast or something, since he raps pretty fast during A Milli

^ i was actually listening to Carter 3 yesterday...and he raps slow on pretty much every track
he raps faster on 6'7" than he does on Milli

but anyways...what i found most impressive about this track (and kinda surprising) is that you can hear Wayne take a breath every couple bars. You never heard that before. He used to record a couple bars, then stop, then punch in and record a couple more. Now he's recording those verses in one take (probably reading off the notebook)

things are definitely lookng up for C4 and i hope he records the album soon before he starts getting high every studio session and experimenting with autotune lol

Well, I mean, I've never liked Lil Wayne, really. I'm one of those people who thinks that C3 is a horrible album. No Ceilings is the best thing he's put out, to me, and I still don't like it all that much. But he shows a lot of promise in this song, so I'll be looking out

But, I will say that this is not single material. Good album track, but C4 won't do that great of numbers if this is the first single. Unless Wayne pulls an Eminem and the second single is more successful

Well it kind of is A Milli on steroids, lyrically it's much better, speed wise he raps a lot faster on this track, but A Milli was just an intense catchy song - I think this song has potential to be a good single, just needs a good video as well. He should have done it along, screw Cory Gunz
