I always wondered what KEMDIDDY LEH meant.

Accepting that a word is used isn't the same as the word being "accepted." None of the words I listed are in the dictionary as standard English, and it's unlikely they ever will be.

And the English language is governed by certain rules...it's not just a matter of people going out and making up words, then waiting to see if they catch on.

Otherwise, Eminem might as well really "invent a new language."

I didn't say that it was. Hence me defining that. They're not standard English because they're not universally common enough.

As for rules, all languages have rules but the only ones of any worth are those of syntax and structure. Which are in our DNA, it's what allows us to learn (any) language to begin with. WORDS are totally trivial.

And actually it is a matter of that. There are rules of acceptance into the English dictionary but once something becomes common parlance, once it overwhelms or obviously holds more weight than a fad-slang etc. it's totally valid.

You're giving more prestige / weight / validity to words that do exist over words that could exist purely because these are the words you're currently using lmao. They're just tags, references. And the 'rules' are constantly changing, like I said - shape-shifting, with the zeitgeist.

Language / words - is a continuum, not a black / white situation.

If I choose to make up a word for, I don't lets say being very angry. Like, angry to such an extreme that I feel a new word is needed to describe it, so let's say "craggil". Now, okay that's not 'accepted' yet but is that not a formed audible sound which I've given meaning to and thus still a WORD?

It doesn't not exist just because a select group of people don't know about it or because it's not 'recnognized' by select people in a certain way. It's still a word and I could still use it to mean what I say. Now of course we only use accepted words because it's about relation.

If we all walked around making up our own words constantly nobody would relate and it would be aimless madness. But snobbery in grammar is the silliest of all in truth because words have no actual truth beyond what we choose to give them, which is always being subjected to political and philosophical debate, literacy reforms etc.

That's not to say Eminem's misuse of words is correct. He's not trying to invent words, just misspoke a few. But if he were to make up a word... that's just as valid as Shakespeare making up a word which he did, many of. Excellent I believe is one of his. How would we ever get new words unless people make them up, they can't invent themselves.

Except Eminem DOESN'T say these words.

He says "undoubtably," "aphyxiation" and "intergalactical," which aren't words.

"Undoubtably" might be a word by some lame technicality since it's an adverb for "undoubtable." Even though the word "undoubtable" is hazy in itself; just use undoubtedly, undeniably or irrefutably instead.

"Undoubtably" is dumb.

How are you certain he's saying undoubtebly? It sounds the same.
