No way does it.

Regardless of what you think of his political credibility or knowhow as people keep bringing into question when mentioning that song, that's TRIVIAL.

The song itself, is a thudding, powerful, classic.

Where as "Underground" sounds forced and almost desperate. Desperate to re-capture that old controversy but pretty aimless, but it's okay for what it is.

But "Mosh" has some fantastic lyricism. And his choice to make it a marching, stomping anthem like that was such a good one, a great effort. Especially for that time period, I mean... just imagine the results had he attempted it in like 2002.

How's it trivial?

That's fucking vital - if someone does a political track it's paramount they knew what they're talking about rather than just mentioning stuff everyone else does - the song brought NOTHING knew to the table on that count. It was just the usual stuff, "no more blood for oil" etc etc

The lyricism is average and his flow is horrible. The beat is the best thing about it.

Em is best politically when he takes his own situation and looks at it in a broader context (see White America), while rhyming amazingly, rather than something like Mosh, which is just the typical comments about Bush, not even delivered well. Em doesnt even sound as hungry as people make out either.

Underground >>> Mosh everyday of the week. Em sounds really sharp on it, with a lovely smooth flow and some nice rhymes. I like the concept of rhyming as an underground artist as well, although it does hold Em back slightly.

And yes I'm pissed off because Newcastle are 2 down to Man City.
