Why such poor quality on Em's verses with Royce Da 5'9?

Did anyone else notice that on the two new songs by Eminem and Royce Da 5'9 ('Echo' and 'Living Proof') that Em's verses are of a lot poorer recording quality compared to Royce's verses? Royce's verses are loud, clear and of high quality, and then when Eminem spits it's all of a sudden low and of poor quality. Like, you have to raise the volume when Eminem comes on. It almost seems like Royce recorded his verses in a professional studio and Eminem recorded his on like a laptop or something.

to me its much more noticeable on Echo which is why i dont like that song as much as everyone else does. Ems verse is in such shitty quality i cant like it as much, but both songs dont sound crisp when Em starts raping.

I thought it was just my version but im happy someone else saw this

Maybe because it got leaked and it wasn't suppose to so they ruin the song by lowing Eminem's verse so you could do it off and not listen it anymore like they did with I Need A Doctor. ..Idk it would be my guess.

It's one of the things that goes on in Hip hop music that really bothers me. It seems like on the majority of collaborations in hip hop that the two rappers that are collaborating rarely ever sit down together and make the song. I've read so many articles where the rapper will say they got the beat sent to them and then they write their verse and send it back to the producer who then mixes the song. It's just so unoriginal.

I kind of agree with this.The chemistry between 2 artists is so much better when the 2 of them(or more) are in the studio making the song.

this is what happened:

Em sent Royce the song with the vocals not fully mixed. Royce recorded his vocals and had his engineer mix his vocals to match the beat. That caused Royce's vocals to be about 2 dbs higher than Em's. We got this version before Eminem had the chance to have his people do a final mix and make sure all the levels match.

I think his verses on Living Proof are on par/better with Royce's but I don't think the same about Echo.
